Dr. Sean Barbour completed his internal medicine and nephrology training at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2010 and subsequently did a two-year Glomerulonephritis fellowship and Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Toronto.

He is the Medical Lead of the B.C. Provincial Renal Agency: Glomerulonephritis Network and Registry, and Chair of the B.C. Glomerulonephritis Network Steering Committee. Dr. Barbour is a Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research Scholar, and his research focus is on clinical trials, prediction modelling, health outcomes, and health services delivery in glomerulonephritis.
