Meijiao Guan

Statistician

Dr. Guan holds a PhD in Mathematics and a Master degree in Statistics, both from the University of British Columbia.

Prior to joining CfAHO, Dr. Guan worked as a biostatistician at the Centre for Improved Cardiovascular Health (ICVHealth) with over 6 years of experience in the cardiovascular research setting. Her projects focused on evaluating factors associated short and long-term outcomes following various cardiac procedure in BC. She specializes in methodologies including mixed effects models for longitudinal data, survival analysis, meta-analysis and Bayesian random-effects meta-analysis. She is currently working the project which aims to identify care gaps for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in BC using Canadian Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium and administrative databases.
