He completed fellowships in Sports Medicine and Emergency Medicine, as well as a master’s degree in Exercise Science, and a Ph.D. in Health Care and Epidemiology (from what is now the University of British Columbia’s School of Population and Public Health). Dr. Hunte is a pragmatic, mixed-method researcher, and collaborates in multi-disciplinary research in the areas of public health, injury prevention, system resilience, and patient safety.
