Dr. Frank Scheuermeyer completed medical school at the University of Alberta, residency training at the University of British Columbia, and is now an emergency physician at St Paul’s Hospital.
He works with cardiologists to study safe and efficient management of emergency department patients with acute chest pain and cardiac arrhythmias and has a research interest in the care of patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Working with the Department of Public Health and BC Ambulance Services, his other main research interest includes prehospital and emergency treatment of patients with opioid overdose. He is a member of the Research Committee for the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians, a reviewer for eight medical journals, and serves on the editorial board of Annals of Emergency Medicine.
