Canadian Conference on HIV/AIDS Research 2018

April 26, 2018 – April 29, 2018 all-day

The 27th Annual Canadian Conference on HIV/AIDS Research is the premier gathering in Canada for those working in all disciplines of HIV/AIDS research, as well as policy makers, persons living with HIV and other individuals committed to ending the pandemic.

The conference, also known as CAHR 2018, will be held April 26th-29th, 2018 at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver, British Columbia. The co-chairs  for CAHR 2018 will be Dr. Hélène Côté (University of British Columbia) and Dr. Melanie Murray (University of British Columbia).

This year’s conference theme is Celebrating our Diversity:  Uniting in the Response to HIV

This year at CAHR 2018, we endeavour to acknowledge and celebrate diversity among both people with lived experience of HIV, as well as among HIV researchers. More than ever members of the community and key affected populations are generating ground-breaking research. In this quest against HIV, we have learned that we can accomplish more together when we embrace our diversity as people with unique lived experiences, perspectives and ideas to contribute. Uniting groups of researchers from multiple tracks – health care professionals, community workers, academics, trainees, educators, activists, volunteers, people with lived experience of HIV, and policy makers – we have many objectives to pursue in order to improve the lives of people living with HIV, and prevent new infections.
